USA WE THE PEOPLE
THE PEOPLE HAS SPOKEN
A democracy is a fragile form of government that must be
constantly maintained to provide the promises/services that the
governed expect. Let the People speak, let the Republic hear on
this day we cast our vote as a group for the commend good of the
People, and this country of the United States of America. It has
been an honor and privilege to run for the Office of President in
this election of 2016 as a write-in candidate. To the voters that
supported me and believed in the directed course that should be
taken, I am forever grateful. We have not lost, but made great
gains by bringing these issues out to the forefront for the
betterment of our country and our lives. All we can do is try to
make a differenc or right a wrong. Hopefully the new
administration will take note and choose to address these matters.
Congratulations President Elect Donald Trump!
Most Sincerely
Kevin M. Moreau
The Issues
1. Advocate for Repeal of North America Free Trade Agreement (NAFTA) -
This will create jobs in the middle and upper lower-classes. It will help
stimulate the economy. The repeal of NAFTA will reduce the tax burden on
the middle-class.
2. Advocate to Reinstate Glass Steagall and repeal Dodd-Frank- The banks
and financial institutions for lack of a better term, are a hard of wild horses
that need to be bridled. Glass Steagall became law under the U.S. Banking
Act of 1933 after the Great Depression. Glass Steagall was repealed in 1999
under the Gramm Leach Bliley Act (GLBA). The repeal started the ball rolling
for the financial crisis in 2008. Glass Steagall prevented banks and securities
(stocks) firms from merging. In 2008 at the height of the financial crisis the
top 3 banks acquired securities firms for pennies on the dollar.
3. Advocate for Repeal of Welfare Reform Act of 1996- Jobs that could
have helpd people climb out of poverty left the United States under NAFTA.
There is a crime bill that becomes public law to build prisons at record
numbers. There are elderly and disabled people living on the sidewalks.
These two conditions is America’s answer to poverty at the present,
homelessness or incarceration.
4. Advocate for Illegal Immigration Rights- Between Capitol Hill and
Corporate America illegal immigrants where unofficially invited and welcomed
here to work, help stimulate the economy, and pay taxes revenues. If you
are incarcerating mass amounts of people and taking them out of the
workforce, you need someone to fill the void. Here’s a scenario, an illegal
immigrant was employed in the US for 10 years and something happened to
prevent him or her from working. Are they entitling to public assistance
(welfare)? No!
5. Advocate for amendments and editing of the United States Constitution-
Amend the preamble to define people, and to read as: “We the (People)”
(definition of people- individuals that form a group, not limited to race, creed,
gender, or sexual identity). Amend 13th amendment sec. 1 to read as: nether
voluntary or involuntary servitude of any kind shell not exists within the
United States, or any place subject to their jurisdiction. Removing the word
slavery from the United States Constitution would be a good starting place for
reparation for slavery. Amend the articles of the Constitution, by editing the
articles with the new amendments. Pull out the old, and replace with the
new.
6. Advocate for Education Reform and Teachers- When I ran for congress
in 2008 I had wrote a bill the Moreau Vital Profession (MVP) Act to safeguard
teacher, medical staff, and first-responders from layoffs because of
misappropriation of funds by state, city, and county agencies. Washington
DC talks highly of teachers and first-responders, but when teachers were
getting pink slips and fire departments were closing here in Los Angeles,
Washington did not say a word to address the matter. Not even, when
Martin Luther King County Hospital closed. Let’s get the priorities right!
Please spread the word!
